omniChain is Omnibasis's Blockchain as a service (BaaS) that enables businesses and professionals, large and small, to launch a full featured Blockchain application. Using omniChain, we enable businesses with the intuitive technology and tools to deploy a cloud-based Blockchain application with rich feature sets that includes assets definition and management, smart contracts and transactions management, and shared data ledger without the costs and challenges associated with building and maintaining their own infrastructure.
Blockchain Network
Roll out your own blockchain network, or let us take care of this for you. Omnibasis supports a number of blockchain databases. You can self host your own blockchain and configure Omnibasis to connect to it or use blockchain database hosted by Omnibasis.
Asset
We believe anything can be represented as an asset. An asset can characterize any physical or digital object that you can think of like a car, a data set or an intellectual property right.
These assets can be registered on blockchain in two ways:
- In create transactions, when new asset is created or registered.
- In transfer or update transaction, when an existing asset or portion of it is transferred or updated.
Traditionally, people design applications focusing on business processes (e.g. apps for booking & processing client orders, apps for tracking delivery of products etc). With omniChain, we don’t focus on processes rather on assets (e.g. a client order can be an asset that is then tracked across its entire lifecycle). This switch in perspective from a process-centric towards an asset-centric view influences much of how we build applications on omniChain.
Transactions
Transactions are used to create, update or transfer the asset. Each transaction can have a number of individual components like inputs, outputs, assets, and metadata. Do not worry about the complexity of the blockchain as omniChain have shield you with easy to use user interfaces and tools to help you to create assets, update them and transfer the ownership.
Security Keys
Every transaction on omniChain is signed with security keys. Every user on blockchain has its own security key. It is used in a similar way as account username and password to authenticate the user on the blockchain. omniChain makes it easy to manage all the security keys that are need to record, update and transfer assets on the blockchain. We offer a number of levels of security to secure the keys, including the required phara phrase that would unlock the use of the security key. Think of it as your digital fingerprint that only you have.
