You can build custom dashboard navigation with site pages.

When you designate a page location to be dashboard, it will appear for user navigation of dashboard only.

Note: once at least one dashboard menu is created, it overrides all dashboard navigation. You can use Permissions to limit which roles see specific Dashboard Navigation. See example below.

For example, if you want to a create a link to navigate to customers list follow this steps:

  1. Find a link for your site first. Navigate to Navigation \ omniCustomers \ Customers.
  2. Copy link from URL in your browser, for example http://mysite.on.omnibasis.com/app/customer/customers.
  3. Navigate to omniSite \ Pages, and select Add root to add new page from tools menu at the top right corner.
  4. Give a page name, for example: Customer List.
  5. Put url link starting with app, from what you copy in step 2 above, from example, app/customer/customers.
  6. Click Lock Url so Url is not change when you change name.
  7. Change Location to be Dashboard Navigation.
  8. Click Create or Update.
  9. If you want, you can limit that menu to a specific role. Navigate to Permission section and select role you want to require to see that menu in Dashboard. Select Update to save your changes.
