You can view, organize, and manage your issued and purchased gift cards. 


When gift card is purchased, a User Ledger Account is created with a balance on the card. A ledger account can be managed by you and a customer. If customer did not create an account at the checkout, the still have access to the card via Mobile Wallet or email which was generated with a gift card code.


You can also export your gift cards to a file for your reference.


To view Gift Cards, navigate to one of the following place:

  • Navigate to 'omniLedger \ User Ledgers \ Giftcards'
  • Alternatively you can go to 'omniCommerce \ Manage Orders \  Giftcards'


Customer with user account, always can view a list of purchased Gift Cards under 'My Account \ My Wallet \ Giftcards'. Learn more about customer interface.


Note: those navigation links are not visible if you do not have any gift card products defined.


Search and Filter Gift Card

You can search for gift cards by code or by customer by using the advance filter. Filtering is useful when you are trying to find gift cards that match particular criteria. For example, you could filter by Status to list all the gift cards that have been disabled.


Note: After a gift card is issued, the full gift card code is visible only to the customer because gift cards are considered valuable and you do not want them to be stolen. You can see only the last four characters in the list of sold gift cards, but you can search by either the last four characters or the full code.



Viewing Gift Card


To view Gift Card details, click options drop down next the card and select View.


From the gift card details page, you can review information about the gift card, including its remaining balance, the order number associated with the gift card, the name of the customer who ordered the gift card, and its expiration date.



Gift Card Transactions


To view Gift Card transactions, click options drop down next the card and select View Transactions


Email or Text a gift card to a customer


When a customer loses a gift card code or needs a balance update, you can email or text an updated gift card to its original customer.


To email or text Gift Card to a customer , click options drop down next the card and select Send Email or Send SMS.



Disable a gift card

You can disable a gift card from a list of cards.  

  1. Navigate to a list of Gift Cards.
  2. Click drop down option next to the card you want to disable and select Edit.
  3. Change Status to Not Active.
  4. Click Save.


Editing Gift Card Expiration date


You can change the expiration date of a gift card by editing the card and selecting a new expiration date.


  1. Navigate to a list of Gift Cards.
  2. Click drop down option next to the card you want to change and select Edit.
  3. Change Expire date.
  4. Click Save.


Viewing Gift Card Mobile Wallet


You can view a wallet associated with a gift card. If none is created, you can create a mobile wallet for user.


  1. Navigate to a list of Gift Cards.
  2. Click drop down option next to the card you want to access a wallet and select Wallet Pass.
  3. You will be taking to a wallet pass for this gift card, if none exist, a new one will be created.


Export your gift card products to a file


You can export your gift cards to a file to view their details in a spreadsheet. This can be useful for reviewing information about outstanding balances, or for other records. You can't import the gift card file to create gift card products. 


  1. Navigate to a list of Gift Cards.
  2. Filter the cards you would like export.
  3. From a Action Menu at the top right corner select Export.
