Your application might want to use user roles to hide and show Collections  or required users to login or create an account in order to view or submit new content. Collection security section can help you to fine tune your required use case.


Navigate to the collection you want to manage from omniContent \ Collections, select Manage next the collection from the drop down action menu.


Select Pages section.


Scroll down to Security section.

  1. Navigate to Permission section and select User Role that is required to view this collection. For example, Admin role is required to view this collection, turn on selection next to Admin. Learn how to manage User Roles.
  2. You can use security section to control how user can interact with collections. For example, to allow users to submit a new content, select Allow user to create.
  3. To require user to me a member of a collection, turn on User must be a member to view content. This feature can be used to create permission only groups, where you as an owner will have to approve new members to access the content. In addition, when this feature is turned on, user can bookmark favorite content and access it later via My Bookmarks.
  4. If you want to show members of a collection, for example, if you are using collection to create groups, select Show members. List of members will be displayed for a collection.
